Babe in belly!!

Babe in belly!!

#46 - twenty sixteen new yizzle

It's so easy to sit down and write all your plans and intentions for the new year. It's even easier for me to write down a list of things to share with you with the intention that you may cross off your list of things to do in January and for the next 12 months. Or you set your intentions, with the intention of not breaking them..

Whilst most of mine have already gone out the window I have realised not to beat myself up about it, I have already had a pizza, a couple of glasses of vino, I have eaten sweeties and my proposed exercise regime had been slightly limiting. I spent the first week 'on it' and tried to do too much which left me absolutely exhausted on every level.

So, I hereby announce to all you juicers, January vegans, and new yoga enthusiasts keep on trucking. I wake each day as a new day, not taking my past eek's with me, I have enjoyed my fizzy laces and warm hot chocolates with a smile. Because actually life is about living and if you end up loosing your thread you can always get back on it. Little little, makes all the difference inside and out, so enjoy January get out and about and do what you CAN do not all the things you want or plan to do (too much).

Feel your positivity and feel your rewards. It's Friday, so tune in to this belter, close your eyes and have a dance, after all, everyday is special. Let's make this New 2017 Year a healthy and happy one with realistic intentions, dream big and let the games begin!

#43 - 85hr Pre-Natal & Baby Yoga Teacher!

What an amazing experience, I went to Arundel in Sussex during the end of September for a week long intensive teacher training. There were lots of early starts, and late finishes, we had an amazing teacher Sally, a total pro with tons of experience so I was brimming with confidence as I arrived.

The venue was a 19th century converted barn complete with sauna and swimming pool that was perfect for the much needed after-class relaxation!! The course covered EVERYTHING from the spiritual aspects, to the more technical anatomy and physiology, the birth, labour and post natal and baby yoga and more and more!!!

We had an amazing bunch of like-minded powerful women I met they were in different stages of their pregnancy, it was a nice combination to have a variety of people to share experiences together. I met some lovely patient ladies really helped me with my cognitive difficulties in group work (thanks to all!!).

I LOVED my roomie Anna, so nice to hang out and gossip and put the world to right!!! xxx

Food was delicious, such a delightful spread of full vegan catering soon nutritious and filling yum yum, thanks to the Brighton chefs!!

Special thanks to Sally for being a wondrous and patient teacher I'm feeling very inspired now and I can't wait to start teaching!! Keep you eyes peeled for up coming classes!!

X Much love & Namaste X

#42 Children's Meditation Audio release

It's here!!!

I have completed the first Children's Meditation, it the first prototype I have self-released and self produced (with the help of some technical wizards!) so it would be truly amazing to get your feedback!! It has been hard work for me to get this produced a very challenging experience!

It's suitable for anyone really from babies up to 99 years old, from my market research I discovered many parents who have also used it with their children has had an amazing effect on them too!!

The idea behind it is to help relax and calm the mind, and guide them through their thoughts and emotions in a inspirational and positive way! The mountains are a magical place to start a journey of guided meditations an experience you will never forget.

Lemon Tree’s Guide to Guided Meditation

 • Its all about the setting first, low the lights, and get your child ready and relaxed preferable at the end of the day before bed but can be used anywhere..
 • Try and create an routine each time, make the atmosphere comfortable and check the temperature is ok.
 • As we meditate and lower our heart rate we tend to lower our body temperature. So make sure there is something warm like a jumper of blanket close-by unless they are already in bed!
 • Give permission to check they are ok and happy to participate and so they won't be disturbed..
 • This guided meditation is a great tool whenever and wherever, with headphones ideally.

<<<<<<<<<READY>>>>> <<<<<<Listen below>>>>>>>

In 2012 I had brain surgery and I was diagnosed with aggressive Multiple Sclerosis and epilepsy and it changed my life forever. Key to my recovery was yoga and meditation, a skill I wished I learnt at a younger age.

 • One in 10 UK children has a clinically diagnosed mental health disorder.
 • 75% of mental health problems can be spotted before a child leaves school

I want to make yoga and meditation fun & accessible to everyone as it is shown to improve children’s cognitive function, attention span, and self esteem.

I am creating a series of products for children, my Lemon Tree guided meditation is a perfect easy listening series and I am looking to gain funding to produce the full series crowd funder coming sooooon.

Get in touch for more details on info@lovelemontree.com, and reach out to anyone with any feedback all much appreciated .

So..Love Lemon Tree, giving parents a peace of mind, so their children have a healthy mind!

#40 Spice up your life - Beautiful Autumn Throws

There are some beautiful throws left the The Shop!!! Have a look www.lovelemontree.com/online-shop so far I have received great feedback and they have already used them for lots of things including... a table cloth for the dining room table, a sofa throw which was perfect to brighten up their shabby sofa. They have been really popular for presents too!! Such a steal at only £20! So get in touch you can purchase on the website, it is next day delivery so order now!!!

Here is some lovely feedback from one of my valued customers:

'I brought the Pompom Purple Pink throw as a birthday present for my best friend. Love Lemon Tree were so wonderful in making sure it arrived on time and she absolutely loved it!! Such beautiful colours and lovely fabric - I can't wait to buy one for myself!!' - Courteney London

#39 Woweeee - Lemon Tree Wedding Yoga - Lucie & Will

I was honoured to be asked to teach a class for a beautiful bride Lucie, and in the early hours of Saturday morning in preparation for her big day I went off to the New Forest in Hampshire! She had an amazing group of friends too who were very excited and looking forward to relaxing before her big day.

I had created a special program for the Bride encompassing a smooth delivery of a mixture of meditation and yoga asanas to stretch out their bodies whilst making sure the girls didn't break a sweat before the hair and make-up artist had worked her magic! It was important to also work on their legs for deep stretching as well as a combination of prayanama breathing exercises to help focus their minds. And not to forget the important work out for their calf muscles for their dancing moves for the long day of celebration wearing heels!

One of my favourite uplifting tracks I chose in my mix compilation was a remix of MGMT x Glass Animals - Electric Feel & Gooey (Jovani Occomy x Olmos Cover). Have a listen on Youtube here:

What a perfect start to her wedding day it was, as shown here with the bridesmaids who connected together nicely towards the end of the practice with some fun partner yoga, before they drifted off into their Shavasana meditation.

Sending all the love to Mr & Mrs Lucie and Will Lemay, and thank you for the opportunity, what an amazing day, a historical date for 2016 BIG LOVE XXXXX

#37 Eye of the Tiger

I recently spent some time in London whilst I went to have an update meeting with my neurologist at The Royal London Hospital. I took some time out and headed to the National Gallery near Trafalgar square, the weather was warm so it was a perfect time to get outside and explore. I found this beautiful artist Natalia Freeman it was so inspirational to see how much effort and detail that she draws rain or shine, she sits on the tarmac on the pavement, and makes a new piece each day! This is the start of her drawing, before it is coloured in, wow lady good skills!!

Take the power of the tiger to your practice.

Take the power of the tiger to your practice.

Here is a perfect asana that stimulates your body from top to toe! It brings some energy into your practice a marries well in the cat/cow series if you are familiar with that. If you are brave you could add the sound effect of a raging roarrrrrrrr🐯at the same time! Its really good for the core muscle group, I'd recommend trying 8 x reps rest, then 8 x reps rest, then change sides, if you want you can start with less reps you can and then build it up.

Vyaghrasana Asana - Tiger Pose

 • Set yourself in the cat stretch pose.
 • Maintain equal distance between the knees and hands.
 • Hold the arms straight and keep the eyes open.
 • This is the primary position.
 • Inhale deep.
 • Slowly raise the right leg towards the back when it gets parallel to the back.
 • Then raise the lower knee and bring it towards the head.
 • Turn the neck towards the back.
 • The sole gets towards the back.
 • Balance the body in this pose.
 • Keep the eyes open and bring the consciousness between the eyebrow centers.
 • Place any soft matter if you realize any knee pain.
 • Exhale and bend down the neck and the right knee.
 • Bring the right knee between the arms and attempt to touch the nose.
 • Raise the back upwards.
 • Hold yourself in this pose for a while.
 • Place back the leg near the knee and straighten the neck.
 • Similarly repeat this with the left leg and complete the cycle.

#35 Mountain Paradise - The Real Adventure - 25th June - 2nd July

Our first retreat from Love Lemon Tree was a huge success!! Have a look at our blog below!

You can't really wake up to anything better! As the sun came out early in the morning, so did the overwhelming feeling of appreciation, our Eco-Therapy Yoga holiday had begun! The guests had arrived from Heathrow during the night, and they were all virgins of mountain life too, so an epic adventure was in store for all!! We were feeling super excited and all raring to go!!

The summer in the mountains is just mind-blowing, the contrast of the clean cut silver peaks on the skyline, to the emerald green lush carpet of the beautiful pine trees. There were beautiful meadows of wildflowers that were in full bloom, and the vast energy of nature was oozing around us.

“Each person’s life is like a mandala – a vast, limitless circle. We stand in the center of our own circle, and everything we see, hear and think forms the mandala of our life…
~ Pema Chodron

Eco-Therapy Workshops: It was important to combine all the earthly elements around us, so for one of our eco-therapy inspired workshops I had planned we used nature as art. During our mindfulness walk, we went into the tranquil forest and we gathered our mandala materials these were objects that we could really feel connected to.

First to establish a sacred space, focussing special attention on the forest floor, and noticing the variety of natural shapes and patterns around us. We started with making the mandalas, starting from the outside-into the centre (inner self), and the inside-outside (larger self). Each guest sequencing in a different way, some also chose to work in pairs all of which conveyed that we are all equal and loved part of a universal oneness.

Each layer represented the expanding layers of our consciousness, the mandala we each created was used as a spiritual tool to help with self discovery during the holiday, we were healing our minds with nature and it felt amazing.

And..... B r e a t h

And..... B r e a t h

The yoga opening ceremony was lovely, it was a gentle introduction of the week and everyone was gifted an appropriate crystal and I chose Labradorite which not only helps with good heath it helped with your bones and brain, it assists with physical abilities which was perfect for releasing these skills during our deep meditation classes. Here below are some more details of the properties.

For this retreat holiday we had a varied group and two of who had suffered a really traumatic car crash in December leaving Ruby, who was in a coma and was left with brain damage, and Florian with a terrible injury to his legs. The program was therefore adapted to those pupils that needed the right type of asana postures and for the rest of the group, it was also a challenging week for the other yoga participants but they all did so well. We were all really connected and the yoga program meant as it became more of a restorative approach for all and it was an important week of self healing.

When I was on the radio recently on the memory tapes feature on Lauren Laverne BBC6 Music, I was inundated with kind emails, instagram, twitter posts and one of the people that got in touch who was touched my my story heard it was lovely lady called Helen from #chantmalas. She sent me a customised beautiful Mala Bead necklace hand delivered to my door!!!

They are Rudrashka beads, that help create a cocoon of the wearer's own energy and help ward off negative energies. These are the beads that Helen chose for me and the properties of each stone are listen below. I think Helen picked a perfect combination and I am so grateful, whilst I was on the retreat I used these Chant Mala beads before I went into the yoga studio to get focused before teaching my lessons.

Rhyolite (representing all of nature), Rainbow Moonstone (the moon, new beginnings, intensifies famine goddess energy), Serpentine (Earthing stone aids meditation and spiritual experiences), Citrine (power to the sun), Prehnite protective stone (enhances prophesy and deep meditation), Mahogany Obsidian (grounding stabilising, and help reach ones full potential).

Check out her wonderful website and massive thanks to you HELEN!! XXX

Here we are all getting creative with our mindfulness activities, creating crafts outside in the warm sunshine with the epic clouds around us. The program made my Jane was amazing, where we took on relaxing projects and you know when you are really connecting to art you become more productive and to be still in our minds was so beneficial and a great balance mentally too!

Making and painting our designs for our silk sun mobile hangings addictively relaxing!

Jane's teaching the first steps of her felt making techniques & Iain's beautiful mountain paradise final piece, an inspirational book cover made with silk and felt. Enjoying a relaxing and refreshing holiday beer.. when in france....

Below our the start of our eco-therapy forest walking workshops, finding the waterfall...

Adventuring through the woods and into the meadows searching out the best routes, note to self trying out the rocky slate mountain hill maybe not a great idea....

One year reflection #30

My January blog... Teacher training success 2015.

I haven't been able to make time to do my blog for a while and this was a post that I wrote back in January 2016!

Its amazing the journey and path I have taken in 1 x year - as I have managed to pack in a lot!! I am so pleased that my yogic career has really started to make a difference helping and healing others. In the past year I have improved on my teaching at lots of different places in the world. From local areas in East Sussex, and London and it has taken me as far afield to Portugal, France, and Sir-Lanka. By incorporating yoga and meditation into my life I have been lucky enough to teach and meet some really amazing pupils from such different backgrounds.

One of the things that I find so inspiring is the commitment of the students. We can all wake up thinking ahh, I'm too tired, I don't have enough time today I'm too busy, I will come to the next one (that is the most classic thing people say). But they come ready and I am happy they are happy!! What I know is, by encouraging yourself to just GET ON THE MAT! Just for 1 x hour the thing is YOU KNOW you will feel soooo much better afterwards. I have had some pupils feeling so genuinely happy and excited to start their day that they can't wipe the smile off their face for the rest of the week.

With this in mind sometimes it can be good to think, how can I prioritize this hour in my life to make me FEEL GOOD?! Baby steps, plans change, priorities change, but your single most important thing in your life is your health. Protecting your mind and body to exist. When I was poorly, I released just how precious life is, and believe me DON'T TAKE ANYTHING FOR GRANTED!! I was in hospital thinking, gosh I should have done this or that, I had so much regret and sadness in my life. After the shock and anger had subsided I felt so very grateful for every little thing. When I was allowed to go outside for a hour once it was like even the air made me so happy and grateful for our amazing planet!

So, take time to keep practicing yoga & meditation, even at home. Learn to appreciate people and nature, food and family (or whatever you want to) by focusing on one thing you want to be grateful for in the morning. Write a mantra on a piece of paper and stick in to the wall and smile!!

This was the view from my hospital window, feeling in prison for weeks I would look out to London, the trees, the clouds in the sky wishing and waiting and wishing to leave but not knowing if I would ever? I appreciated every little part of the view (and became very familiar with it!). Namaste :)

Studio #28

I have been on my travels back to the West Country again, I am loving being in the shire, going back to my roots - yeah!!

The experience in the studio reminded me of my radio broadcasting days in London. But it was so much easier to use my scripts to record it than live radio!! Take one, take two, the time was precious and I was delighted with the outcome. I swear my voice has got even lower since back a few years ago!!

I am again, really positive and grateful. The children love the idea and I am looking forward to really start putting all the elements together. Now, its time to reflect and prepare for collaborating with my pianist next week.

Sending thanks to my bro Toby for sorting my xmas present early, and for Barry for the studio.

Ello big ears

I Love Lemon Tree Club - yea its got a ring to it!

Jingle jingle #27

Writing scripts, verbal thinkin & verbal chattin & mind solving and mind reading.... It's so important to keep things simple (and breath!).

I have been lucky enough to work with an amazing group of children in the shire, who have been helping me make the first part of my Love Lemon Tree recordings.

It's so refreshing working with children again they even started making up a Lemon Tree song too! Bless!! Winter hot chocolate yum!

Tiger & Laura All together now....

Tiger & Laura

All together now....

Studio road-tripping #26

I have been on the road back to the sea and back to the shire busy writing scripts for my Kids Meditation. It's been exciting and tiring and inspirational so far. Tapping into the creativity part of my brain, I honestly feel like it's been a breakthrough. I have been meeting and connecting with some amazing people. I have an amazing pianist who I am collaborating with, an amazing designer, and mentor that I am meeting today. I am going up and up and up!

I am not only reaching out to people who are skilled and lovely to work with who understand my vision, I am becoming more and more determined to reach my goals. Keeping a strict regime of getting a balance between my personal yoga practice and teaching, curating my Kids products it's really important to not get stressed out.

I have realised so far as anyone who has started their own business it's tough. Being able to be flexible enough to put a different hat on in all the parts of my business can be really challenging.

Every time I hit a brick wall, it spurs me on harder. I know that throughout my medical and cognitive challenges I continue to face over the past few years, despite this I still want to start my dream of running my own business. So I can try and be flexible to manage both and give peace and love to others (as cheesy as it sounds). The podcast will be a real help to all children to help them relax and find peace in their minds. I hope to encourage yoga and wellbeing to all in anyway I can.

My next mission. Find the cash to really start things moving....

Fingers crossed

Namaste Xx
