Sound style and tone is one of the most important elements for my guided meditations, to be able to use my voice correctly is key to making an unique interaction with my audience. I have been researching and trying out different techniques with some professionals I have found really helpful.
The particular part of one of the legions on my brain had effected my voice. When I experienced the loss of using my voice it was VERY scary, it was like I knew what I wanted to say but nothing came out (this became VERY frustrating too!).
During my rehabilitation period, I was taught skills about helping with word finding using strategies. Imagining the object, or finding other words around the word to get to the word... At the moment I am trying out a number of alternative approaches to help improve my pathways between the voice and the brain.
I got in touch with Alan who specializes in the Alexander Technique in Brighton, he has already taught me some amazing skills. Specifically, I want to connect mind with body during the guided meditation recordings, as each influences each other. This technique not only helps with your confidence in speaking it helps you give colour to your voice enabling to stretch your boundaries.
So far so good, watch this space, or i mean listen to it, if you can do that?!!
